Venue Guide

The Frank Erwin Center is Austin’s biggest concert venue, as well as host to the University of Texas basketball teams. It’s across the street from the University of Texas and DKR Texas Memorial Stadium, and has played host to some of the biggest concerts to ever come through the city of Austin. From comedy shows like that of Dave Chappelle to the sounds of Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney, the Erwin Center knows how to put on a show. In 2011, the venue was the site of the Davis Cup tennis match between the United States and Spain.

The events held at the venue have ranged from WWE Wrestling, to UFC fighting, to graduations and the UIL State Basketball tournament. The record attendance for a show at the Erwin Center to date is 17,829 for John Denver. The UT basketball team has also sold out many games at the venue, and has seen players like Kevin Durant play on the hardwood on a weekly basis.

The Frank Erwin Center is the go-to place for all the big concert tours and its location in central Austin is a perfect for concert goers from all over the central Texas area.
